Kohli went down on his knees in pain and was attended to by the team physios. There was a brief delay in the game as he received medical treatment, but he continued to play after that.

After the 12th over, Gujarat Titans were comfortably placed at 105/1. Earlier, GT won the toss and chose to bowl first. Kohli was dismissed for 7 runs when Arshad Khan, replacing Kagiso Rabada, took his wicket on the fourth ball of the second over. Kohli’s departure was a setback for RCB.

Gujarat Titans won the match by eight wickets with 13 deliveries to spare. Jos Buttler and Sherfane Rutherford finished the game unbeaten, with scores of 73* off 39 balls and 30* off 18 balls, respectively. This was RCB’s first loss in IPL 2025, following victories over Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings.
