Our batters thrive when they take risks, but maybe we should have played smarter today. The real turning point was our fielding; our bowling was decent, but crucial catches and stops were missed. As for Adam Zampa, with only 3 overs of spin in the game and the ball not gripping, we felt it was better not to bring him in. In terms of bouncing back, I’ll analyze what options we had but don’t want to dwell on it too much. Our next game is at a venue we’re very familiar with.”

“This win was crucial for us, and the big margin was important. We were happy to bowl first on this surface, and after losing two early wickets, our strategy was to stabilize for the first six overs, play with intent but stick to cricketing shots. Once we had wickets in hand, we knew the lower order could accelerate. The batting unit is finally clicking after a couple of average games, and the learnings from those losses really showed today. Rinku and Venkatesh are explosive players, and they showed it tonight. Our bench strength is solid too—Ramandeep, Dre (Russell), and Moeen were all ready to step in. We kept it simple for 15 overs, and then took on the attack. Initially, we thought 170-180 would be competitive, but with the slower balls gripping, 200 felt just right. Credit to our bowlers, especially Sunny and Varun, who bowled really well. Unfortunately, Moeen couldn’t bowl, but Vaibhav and Harshit also played key roles in this victory.”
