Earlier, despite a strong start, Lucknow couldn’t post a competitive score. They finished on 159/6 after electing to bat first. Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh added 87 runs in 10 overs before Markram fell for 52 off 33 balls.
The middle-order collapsed, with Nicholas Pooran scoring just 9, and Mukesh Kumar dismissing both Abdul Samad and Marsh in the same over. Lucknow lost 4 wickets for 23 runs, slowing their momentum.
