Amid the unrest, the PSL witnessed a historic moment on Wednesday. Quetta Gladiators set a new league record by scoring 263 runs for 3 wickets against Islamabad United in Rawalpindi. They went on to secure a massive 109-run victory.
The previous highest total in PSL history was 262 for 3, set by Multan Sultans against Quetta at the same venue during the 2023 season.
For the first time in PSL history, a batting pair both scored centuries in a single innings. Rilee Rossouw and Mohammad Nawaz became the 10th duo in T20 cricket to achieve this rare feat.
Quetta Gladiators smashed 160 runs in the final 10 overs of their innings on Wednesday, equaling the PSL record for most runs scored in the last 10 overs previously set by Lahore Qalandars against Peshawar Zalmi in 2023.

Tensions remain high between neighboring arch-rivals India and Pakistan, especially following mutual attacks last Tuesday. Despite the political strain, both the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Indian Premier League (IPL) continue uninterrupted.
