Shakib Likely to Join Lahore Qalandars Pending BCB NOC

Despite going unsold in the PSL draft, Shakib has now been approached by Lahore Qalandars. While the franchise has yet to make an official announcement, a source close to the all-rounder confirmed the offer to Jago News.

However, Shakib’s participation hinges on obtaining a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) a mandatory requirement even if he plays remotely. Sources reveal that Shakib has already reached out to multiple BCB officials, including his mentor and board director Nazmul Abedin Fahim, though Fahim was unavailable for comment due to a board meeting.

Shakib is likely to receive the NOC by tonight or tomorrow morning. If approved, he will join Lahore Qalandars for the remainder of the PSL. Meanwhile, Mustafizur’s IPL stint with Delhi Capitals also depends on BCB clearance, adding another layer of uncertainty.

The next 24 hours will be crucial in determining whether these two star Bangladeshi cricketers can bolster their respective franchises in the resumed tournaments.
