Rinku Singh has been a key part of KKR since 2018, missing only the 2021 season due to injury. His breakthrough came in IPL 2023, where he accumulated 474 runs from 14 innings with an outstanding strike rate of 149.52. His remarkable performance led KKR to retain him for INR 13 crore ahead of the 2024 mega auction.
As the match began, SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bowl first. Despite losing early wickets of Quinton de Kock and Sunil Narine, KKR’s Ajinkya Rahane and rising star Angkrish Raghuvanshi steadied the innings, ensuring they were still in the game as the powerplay came to a close.
